Designed by Karie Westermann, Byatt is an asymmetrical shawl inspired by the English novelist AS Byatt.

Knitted mostly in garter stitch, the pattern uses a slip-stitch pattern to create the illusion of complicated colourwork, which gives way to a lace edge with a picot cast-off.
