3.75mm straight needles
3.5mm double-pointed or circular needles for working small circumference in the round
3.5mm double-pointed needles for cables and i-cord

20 sts/36 rows in stocking stitch using smaller needles
18 sts/38 rows in garter stitch using larger needles and yarn held double
