Printed knitting sock pattern
This pattern is based on our basic Simply the Simplest Sock pattern but incorporating a lace pattern. The lace pattern is based on the Carpino Sweater by Carol Feller (I emailed her before using the stitch pattern in my Carpino Inspired sock in my Sockvent 2017 set).
The Carpino Sweater is one of my favourite knits and I really enjoyed the lace pattern in it so I wanted to include it in a sock.
The sock is available in two foot widths. Any shoe size can be knit as the pattern doesn’t prescribe a foot length, rather where to knit to before beginning the toe.
The pattern is specified for double pointed needles but the sock has been successfully knit on both double pointed needles and Addi Sock wonders (25cm mini circular needle).
